Genesis begins with God, not with rival deities. Creation depends upon His word, order, generosity, and delight.
The repeated declaration of goodness rejects contempt for embodied life while keeping creation distinct from its Creator.
Image and vocation
Every human bears God-given dignity and is called to represent His wise rule through fruitful stewardship, work, relationships, and care.
The image is not erased by weakness, disability, age, ethnicity, or social status; this grounds justice and neighbor-love.
Creation through and toward Christ
The New Testament identifies Jesus within God’s creative identity and presents Him as the One through whom reconciliation comes.
Salvation does not abandon creation; it begins its renewal and moves toward resurrection and new creation.
Grace Revealed
Grace brings truth into life.
Existence itself is gift. God creates before humanity achieves and provides a world in which communion and vocation become possible.
Knowing Him
Every truth leads toward God.
Creation reveals God’s power, wisdom, beauty, generosity, and desire to dwell with image-bearing people.
Why this matters for salvation
God’s teaching serves His saving purpose.
Salvation restores humanity and creation toward their God-given purpose, culminating in resurrection rather than escape from embodied life.
