Privacy Policy
Your information should be handled with care.
Effective September 1, 2026
Destiny Apostolic Church uses personal information to welcome people, provide requested ministry care, support spiritual growth, manage serving and leadership, and keep church records accurate. This policy explains the information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with Destiny, we may collect your name, contact information, household and visit details, requests you submit, account identity, attendance or follow-up history, baptism and discipleship milestones, Grow and Leadership course progress, quiz scores, serving assignments, and consent preferences. Prayer and pastoral-care forms may contain sensitive religious or personal information you choose to share.
How we use information
We use information to respond to you, prepare for a visit, send communications you authorize, maintain one connected person profile, prevent duplicate records, support discipleship and ministry participation, protect accounts, and provide appropriate church administration and pastoral care.
Who may see it
Members see only their own profile and progress. Authorized leaders see only the people or ministry teams assigned to them. Pastor and authorized administrators may see church-wide records. Sensitive pastoral notes are limited to Pastor and authorized administrators unless they are explicitly shared for a ministry purpose.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to operate this system, including Clerk for sign-in, Vercel for website hosting, Turso for the Destiny database, and Text In Church for approved communications and follow-up. Those providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not sell personal information.
Email and text communications
We send email or text messages when you have asked for them or otherwise authorized them. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to a Destiny text to opt out or HELP for help. Opting out of messages does not prevent you from attending or requesting ministry care.
Retention, correction, and deletion
We keep information only as long as it is reasonably needed for church ministry, safety, legal, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. Access to prayer and pastoral details is especially restricted, and those details may be archived when the request is complete. You may ask us to correct your profile, provide a copy of your information, or consider a deletion request. Some ministry or legal records may need to be retained.
Security and children
We use role-based access, authenticated accounts, restricted administrative tools, and service-provider safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security. Parents or legal guardians should submit information for children and may contact us about a child’s record.
